
LPA Board Meeting October 2024
October 23, 2024 LPA Board Meeting via Zoom 5 pm until 5:50 pm
Roll Call — Present: Jen Daly McFadden, Sam Orr, Bill Gibson, Peggy Roberts, Rosanne O’Hara, Curt Brockway, Steven Dodd and Bryan Bentz.
Absent: Nancy Walker
The board postponed the approval of the minutes until next meeting.
Presidents Report: The Planning and Zoning Commission continues to meeting regarding the proposed zoning changes but have moved on from the residential discussions for the moment. We are waiting to see whether they will drop the changes to Lord’s Point we have asked for.
The $35,000 check for the Vaccas’ property sale has been cashed.
Dates for depositions in the lawsuit over 73 Langworthy may change. Jen will update when she knows more.
The owner of 39 Langworthy has their property on an Airbnb site and needs to be reminded we have minimum limit if 7 day rentals.
Some of the property owners on Lindberg are dumping trash either across the street or over the wall onto the beach. This needs to be addressed.
TC Lyon has cleaned up part of Beach Ave and is making a plan for winter cleanup.
He and Darius Solomon have offered to take drone photos of the LP properties.
Bryan said he can photograph moorings.
The Pollinator Garden is coming along with donations coming in and fencing being installed. People are enjoying sitting in there and coyotes are in there often.
There are plans for a Holiday Craft event in the Community House on December 7, the same day as the cookie swap and the tree lighting. We already have a number of vendors committed.
First Aid boxes will be picked up and stored for the winter. Steven agreed to do this.
Ruth Peterle-Dzurec has agreed to chair the recreation committee. Thank you!!
Clerk Report: No report.
Treasurer Report: We have $100,000 in a sweep account at 2.75 percent interest with Chelsea Groton Bank.
There was discussion of fundraising and how it could be spent. .
Standing Committee Reports
Docks: Floating Docks need to be rebuilt. Gwenmor Marina has been asked to give us a quote. Boulder Dock needs new poles but since we can use larger ones, we need many fewer and the job will be less expensive. The lead up to Langworthy Dock needs work too.
Roads: No report.

Nominating: No report.
Recreation: No report.
Property: Leo Moran is bringing in the benches for the winter.
Community House: The leak in the roof, painting the House, the HVAC and the wheelchair ramp will all be addressed.
Insurance: No report.
