LPA Board Meeting November 2025

November 19, 2025      LPA Board Meeting – via Zoom  5:01 – 5:36 pm

Roll Call — Present: Jen Daly McFadden, Paul Dzurec, Sam Orr, Rosanne O’Hara, Nancy Walker, Bill Gibson, Bryan Bentz and Peggy Roberts

Absent: Steven Dodd.

Minutes: Nancy moved to accept the minutes of the October board meeting. Sam seconded.  Minutes approved.

President’s Report: The Drakes are making a new address sign for the front of the Community House.

The Pollinator Garden committee members are aware of the new designation as a standing committee of LPA.

The billing issues with our law firm are straightened out.

Jen is working on a job description for the part-time property upkeep position.

The Coast Guard has dropped plan to remove buoys.

Clerk Report: No report. 

Treasurer Report: Reports were shared. All bills have been paid. We still need to work on how expenses are classified. This will be on a winter agenda.

Standing Committee Reports

Docks: No report. 

Roads: Langworthy Dock approach still needs work.

Beaches: No report.

Nominating: No report.

Recreation: No report.

Property: Fall cleanup with be done after Thanksgiving.

Community House: No report.

Insurance: No report.

Fire: No report.

Special Committees

Garden Club: No report.

Website: No report.  

Coastal Resilience: The state is giving money in grants.  We should explore how we can participate in this. 

Unfinished business:

Seaweed harvesting policy.  Our lawyer has been made aware and will give guidance, but hasn’t yet.

Legal update:  Nancy moved to go into executive session for a legal update. Paul seconded. Motion passed at 5:15 pm. Bryan moved to end executive session at 5:29. Bill seconded. Motion passed.

New Business:

Sam suggested that in the new year we address new fencing for the playing field and an HVAC system for the Community House. Discussion followed.

Paul said we would be able to install wifi at the Community House when we are ready. The spring?

No December meeting is planned.

Sam moved to adjourn, Rosanne seconded.  Motion passed at 5:36 pm.
