LPA Special General Meeting

Pledge of Allegiance

Roll call of The Board of Directors  

Present were: 

Bill Gibson, Peggy Roberts, Steven Dodd, Jen Daly McFadden, Paul Dzurec and Bryan Bentz

Absent: Rosanne O’Hara, Nancy Walker and Sam Orr

Call of meeting: This meeting was to discuss pending litigation and potentially act upon a settlement offer with the vote of the full LPA membership.

Jen introduced the topic and the LPA attorney Tim Bleasdale, who was there to brief the membership.  He first read a timeline of the lawsuit.

Today the judge in the case delayed the trial date (which was to begin May 19), until sometime in June or July TBD.

Tim outlined the proposed settlement with a detailed explanation.

The owner of 73 Langworthy, the property which is the subject of the lawsuit, was present and spoke.

There was considerable discussion including some that was not directly related to the topic of the settlement proposal. There were comments about the LPA lawyer.

Jim Krodel moved for a vote, Skip Griffin seconded. More discussion ensued.

The vote was taken by secret ballot and collected by Eva Lynn Hantman. The vote was totaled and the proposed settlement was defeated by a vote of 15 to 82.

Marie Jeffery moved to adjourn and Mary Roy seconded. Motion passed at 5:44 pm.
